Inside SwellSpace: Jess Cornell, Solutions Enablement Specialist

At SwellSpace, we’re proud to work alongside people who not only care deeply about solving problems for our customers but who also bring creativity, energy, and heart to their work. In our Inside SwellSpace series, we’re excited to introduce the people behind the platform, starting with those who make our customer experience truly exceptional.

Meet Jess Cornell, our Solutions Enablement Specialist. Jess is the person every customer works with during their SwellSpace setup. With a background in benefits and technology, she combines technical skill with a deep understanding of what clients need to succeed. We sat down with her to learn more about her path to SwellSpace, how she uses AI in her day-to-day work, and what she enjoys most about being part of the team.

Tell us a little about yourself. What drew you to join the SwellSpace team?
Jess
: I’ve been working in the benefits and technology industry for the past decade and have always enjoyed partnering closely with clients. When I learned that SwellSpace was using public-facing websites to provide employees and dependents with centralized access to their benefits, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I had also worked with members of the leadership team before and knew the company was in incredibly talented hands.

What’s your role at SwellSpace, and what does a typical day look like?
Jess:
I’m a Solutions Enablement Specialist, which means I work directly with our clients to build and deliver their benefits websites. On a typical day, I monitor project timelines, build or update websites, create custom imagery, and meet with clients. Working with them is easily the best part of my day.

What’s something interesting you’re seeing in the HR, benefits, or software space right now
Jess
: AI has had a major impact. I use it daily to help refine images and craft content. It has completely changed the way I work and made me much more efficient. Our engineering team is also working on exciting AI developments within our own platform, and the demos I’ve seen are impressive.

What’s your favorite part of working at SwellSpace?
Jess
: The people. SwellSpace truly feels like a family. A lot of companies say that, but here it’s real. We’re a small, hardworking team that supports one another, celebrates wins together, and is always ready to help each other out. Everyone wears multiple hats, and that shared commitment creates a strong bond.

Just for fun, what’s your favorite movie, and what do you love about it?
Jess:
That’s a tough one. I have a couple of favorites: Outbreak and Contagion. I’ve always loved dystopian and apocalyptic stories, especially the ones that explore topics that feel possible in the real world. I like the suspense and the “what would you do” factor, without the jump scares you get in horror movies. I usually have to cover my eyes for those.
